Assembly & Maintenance Questions
1️⃣ How do I assemble this cold plunge?
1️⃣ How do I assemble this cold plunge?
2️⃣ Can the plunge go inside or outside?
2️⃣ Can the plunge go inside or outside?
The OG model cold plunge is a commercial grade unit, and is built for indoor or outdoor use, regardless of location or climate.
3️⃣ Can the cold plunge go upstairs?
3️⃣ Can the cold plunge go upstairs?
Yes, as long as the floor can support the weight!
If you're unsure, we recommend consulting a structural engineer.
The OG model weighs 225 lbs. empty, plus the weight of 90 gallons of water, which at 8 lbs/gallon, brings the grand total to 945 lbs. without a person in it.
The Blast model on the other hand weighs 425 lbs. empty, plus the weight of 125 gallons of water, brings the total to 1,425 lbs. without a person in it.
4️⃣ What are the maintenance requirements?
4️⃣ What are the maintenance requirements?
All ReGen Total Wellness cold immersion tubs are designed to be as low maintenance as possible.
The maintenance requirements are to:
- Drain/refill the water
- Replace the filter
For once-a-day use, we recommend changing the water monthly; for commercial use, water changes may be needed more often depending on the cleanliness of the users.
When it comes to changing the filter, this is required every 250-300 uses.
Rinsing before use will mean the water stays cleaner and less frequent water and filter changes will be required.
5️⃣ How do I change the water and filter?
5️⃣ How do I change the water and filter?
To change the water:
- Turn off the unit.
- Unscrew the drain valve.
- Wait 15 minutes for the water to fully drain. Attach a transfer pump to speed this process up.
- Re-tighten the drain valve.
- Fill the tub back up with water.
To change the filter:
- Turn off the unit.
- Plug the chiller inlet and outlet hoses using the provided plugs.
- Loosen and remove the filter cap using the provided filter wrench.
- Expect some residual water to spill out of the hoses/chiller.
- Discard the older filter and place a fresh filter in the filter cup.
- Repeat steps 1-3 in reverse order to secure the filter back in place.
6️⃣ How often should the water & filter be changed?
6️⃣ How often should the water & filter be changed?
All ReGen Total Wellness cold plunges come with an Ozone sanitation feature. When turned on, this mode activates roughly every 15 minutes, killing bacteria in the water to keep it clean.
Depending how often your tub is being used, we recommend changing the water when it becomes cloudy or discolored, which can occur within a week or 3-4 months depending on how much use the tub is receiving.
Changing the filters also depends on tub use. If the water and/or filter becomes cloudy/discolored, we suggest changing the filter at this time. Filters will sometimes become discolored before the water does, meaning they may need to be changed weekly or monthly.
If you notice the flow rate of your chiller below 16L/min, or if the chiller is noisier than usual, then this may also be an indicator that the filter is due for a replacement.
